2024年9月25日，在留学生工作领导小组办公室的组织下，来自27个国家的70余名国际学生来到慕田峪长城，在金秋送爽之日共逐长城之巅，用脚步丈量中国大地，亲身感悟中华文化。
凌虚览胜处，望长城内外奇景
慕田峪长城全长5400米，敌台密集，雄中见险，是明朝万里长城的精华所在，有“万里长城，慕田峪独秀”的美誉。登山途中绿树成荫，同学们相互打气加油，在对长城的憧憬中一步步攀登；至长城脚下，同学们选择了参观西段，向更高处行进。站在城墙上极目远眺，北京城的摩天大楼清晰可见，构成历史与现代的交相呼应，近观则是满山碧绿，让人内心畅快。趁天朗气清，同学们纷纷驻足合照打卡，在长城留下自己的印迹。
踏古寻踪间，忆千年上下烽烟
“不到长城非好汉，屈指行程二万。”长城作为世界著名文化遗产，东起山海关，西至嘉峪关，如长龙盘踞尽显雄伟瑰丽，其一砖一瓦折射文明兴替，体现了中华民族的坚韧不屈和自强不息的奋斗精神，是中华文明的重要象征。同学们在游览过程中阅读关于敌楼建筑结构等的介绍，了解长城背后源远流长的历史文化。
这份跨越千年的文化遗产，对于每一位亲临其境的探索者而言，又有着怎样的独特意义与感悟。接下来，让我们一同倾听本次参与游览的同学们的心声：
The Great Wall seems so far, perched on top of the hills. But without fearing anything, we undertake our ascent. Up there, the view is breathtaking! These hills as far as the eye can see, and these stones which adorn the crests seem to push the limits of the accomplishment of a civilization. Footing the stones that so many others before have walked through the centuries gives a feeling of excitement. Everything is beautiful.

It was my first time to climb and hike the Mutianyu Great Wall during autumn season. I love it! The sun was out but the air was cool and pleasant. There was no huge crowd too. It was the best time and weather to visit the Great Wall of China especially for me who grew up in tropical Philippines.It is always a meaningful experience to be at the Great Wall as it is a reminder to us living in the present to cherish and value history, heritage, and culture because they are crucial factors in nation-building.My deep appreciation goes to the team of International Student Office for organizing the trip. Please know that your efforts are seen and recognized. Thank you very much!

It was a life time experience for me having heard about the Great Wall over the past years. A dream come true at last thanks to RUC through ISO for facilitating such an event. I was super excited because as a fan of hiking, I saw it as an opportunity to explore the Great Wall. I describe my experience as a blend of fun and an opportunity to explore wonder of the world.

经过两小时的游览，同学们一同返回学校，返程途中车中洋溢着欢声笑语，互诉当日的所见所闻所感。本次活动圆满结束，本学期留学生工作领导小组办公室将继续举办实践研学系列活动，聚焦文化、历史、经济等主题，打造浸润式中国国情实践项目，让同学们实地丈量中国大地，真实了解中国国情。
