On October 18th, the 2015 RUC Culture Festival concluded with a grand evening gala at the school’s Rulun Auditorium. The evening’s program, which was themed “We Are Family,” offered an array of dazzling acts with student performances of traditional music and dance from around the world, earning the performers many rounds of cheers and applause from Chinese and international students alike.
Four spirited MC’s from China, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, and the Ukraine, respectively, hit things off, followed by magnificent performances delivered by RUC international students from South Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Turkey, Japan, Mongolia, Ukraine, Zimbabwe, and other countries. As part of the evening’s entertainment, the audience was treated to Japanese, Russian, Mongolian and Zimbabwean traditional folk and modern dances.
This year’s International Culture Festival, three weeks of cultural exhibits and other programs on RUC’s campus, was held from September 26th to October 18th and featured a range of activities from culture fairs to athletic competitions. The Festival marks an important event on Renmin’s academic calendar that offers students from home and abroad a unique chance to interact and get to know each other’s cultures, as RUC Vice President for International Affairs, YI Zhihong, also noted.
