Internship Visa Application Guide

一、申请条件（需同时满足）Application Requirements(All Must Be Met)

1.申请人为即将毕业，或培养方案中明确包含实习学分要求的在学本、硕、博国际学生（延期及结业换证期的学生除外）；

The international students are expected to graduate in the current academic year. Or the cultivation plan requires an internship.

2.持有在有效期内的学习类居留许可；

The international students should hold a valid residence permit on the passport.

3.实习期需在基本学习年限内，且每次申请的实习时长不得超过半年。

The duration of internship should be shorter than the length of study, and no longer than 6 months.

二、所需准备的材料 Required Materials

申请实习加注需提前准备好以下材料，确保材料符合要求后，再进行后续申请流程。

To apply for an internship visa, please prepare the following materials in advance. Proceed with the next application steps only after ensuring that all materials meet the requirements.

1.国际学生实习加注校内申请表：模板可在留办网站下载*，需先经所在学院审核批准，并由学院在申请表上签字盖章；

Adding Internship to Residence Permit Application Form: You can download the form at the website of International Students Office (ISO). This form should be approved by the school with signature and stamp before applying to ISO.

2.护照原件；

Valid Passport.

3.住宿登记；

Residence Registration Form.

4.近期两寸正面免冠彩色白底照片；

ID Photo: A recent color photo, 2 inches in size, taken front-on without a hat, against a white background.

5.实习单位开具的实习证明：模板可在留办网站下载*，需由实习单位按要求填写并加盖公章；

Internship Agreement from the Employer: You can download the form at the website of ISO. This form should be stamped by the employer as required.

6.企业信息采集表：模板可在留办网站下载*，需由实习单位按要求填写；

Company Information Form: You can download this form at the website of ISO. This form should be finished by the employer as required.

7.企业营业执照副本：若实习单位为使馆，无需提交；

Business License of the Employer: If the employer is the Embassies and Consulates, there is no need to provide the license.

8.外国人签证证件申请表：需先按照学习类居留许可延期的流程进行预约，预约时“申请事由”选择“学习”，“有效期至”填写已完成延期的居留许可有效期（尚未办理延期的同学，请提前咨询留学生办公室）。预约完成后，下载该申请表并双面打印，在表格背面勾选“勤工助学或校外实习加注”，按实际实习时间如实填写申请日期（须与实习单位开具的实习证明上的时间保持一致）。实习单位需在申请日期以及单位印章处分别加盖公章。

Visa/Stay Permit/Residence Permit Application Form: Please follow the same procedure for extending your study-type residence permit, select "Study" in "Reason for application", and fill in the validity period of your residence permit that has been extended until. After the appointment is completed, download the application form and print it on both sides. Tick "Study-work/ Internship" and fill in the end date of the internship. The application form shall bear two seals of the company. One goes to “Valid until” , the other goes to “Company/School’s seal”.

Note: Relevant documents can be downloaded under the "Visa" section of the "Download" on the website of the ISO (http://iso.ruc.edu.cn).

三、申请流程 Application Procedure

1.学生准备好上述材料后，需前往留学生办公室提交实习加注申请；

After preparing the above materials, please go to the ISO to submit internship visa application.

2.留学生办公室会根据审核情况，为符合条件的申请人出具实习证明，并在《外国人签证证件申请表》上加盖公章；

If your application is approved, the ISO will give you a permission letter on internship from the university. And ISO will also stamp the official seal on the visa/stay permit/residence permit application form.

3.学生持护照原件、实习单位开具的实习证明、学校开具的实习证明、企业营业执照副本（实习单位为使馆的无需提供）、经实习单位和学校均盖完章的《外国人签证证件申请表》，按照此前预约的时间和地点，前往出入境受理点办理相关手续。

With your original passport, internship agreement from the employer, permission letter on internship from the university, a copy of the business license of the employer (not required if the employer is an embassy), and the visa/stay permit/residence permit application form bearing official seals from both the employer and the university, go to the exit-entry administration bureau at the scheduled time and location to complete the relevant procedures.

四、重要提醒 Important Reminder

根据《中华人民共和国外国人入境出境管理条例》第二十二条及《中华人民共和国出境入境管理法》第四十三条规定，持学习类居留证件的国际学生在校外进行实习，必须经学校同意后向公安机关出入境管理机构申请居留证件加注实习相关信息，未加注的不得在校外实习。若未按规定办理实习加注擅自开展校外实习，将被认定为非法就业，一经发现，根据《中华人民共和国出境入境管理法》第八十条规定，将处五千元以上二万元以下罚款；情节严重的，处五日以上十五日以下拘留，并处五千元以上二万元以下罚款，还可能被处限期出境或驱逐出境。

According to Article 22 of the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Administration of the Entry and Exit of Foreigners, and Article 43 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China, where a foreigner holding a residence permit for study intends to engage in off-campus internship, he or she shall, upon the approval of the university, apply to the exit and entry administration authority of the public security organ to have such information as the location and duration of the internship placement specified in the residence permit. A foreigner holding a residence permit for study shall not engage in any internship unless the information prescribed above is specified in the residence permit.

According to Article 43 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China, foreigners who work in China illegally shall be fined not less than RMB 5,000 but not more than RMB 20,000 yuan; where circumstances are serious, they shall be detained for not less than five days but not more than fifteen days and shall also be fined not less than RMB 5,000 yuan but not more than RMB 20,000 yuan, and they may also be subject to deportation or ordered to leave China within a specified time.
