根据学校安排，寒假放假时间为1月16日至2月19日，留学生办公室在此提醒大家假期注意以下安全事项：
Dear students,
According to the university schedule, winter holiday will be from January 16th to February 19th. Below are some security tips.
一、校园安全
1.要保管好现金和贵重物品，手机、手提电脑、数码相机等应随身携带或托人保管，离开时要关好门窗、锁好抽屉及房门，以防失窃。
2.离开宿舍、住处前要检查用水、用电、用火安全，检查是否关好水龙头、切断电源，防止火灾、触电及其它安全事故的发生。
Campus safety
Please take care of your valuables, such as laptop, camera, cell phones, etc. Make sure lock the windows, drawers and doors before you leave. Check the water, electricity before leaving the house or dorm.
二、出行安全
1.寒假期间，天气寒冷，请注意及时增减衣物；对寒假期间逗留中国境内的同学，中国春节前后,交通运输将非常繁忙,情况复杂，请提前安排出行计划，路上自觉服从交警、管理人员的指挥，遵守交通规则，严禁饮酒驾驶电动自行车和非法驾驶摩托车，为保障同学寒假在中国境内的安全，请务必将寒假在中国境内旅行信息报告留学生办公室（到留办填写表格，也可以让同学代理）。
2.横穿马路时，注意来往车辆，请走人行横道；在等候和乘坐公交车时请不要拥挤，以防发生意外；不乘坐无牌、无证及超载车辆，以防发生交通事故或发生敲诈、勒索等案件。
3.尽量远离拥挤人群，自觉遵守景点、公共场所安全管理规定，服从安全指挥人员管理，防止踩踏和其他意外事故发生。
4.同学、朋友聚会饮酒须适度，严禁酒后驾车。
Travel safety
Check the weather and make the schedule before travelling. For the students who will stay in China during winter holiday, please come to ISO to register your travel information, or you can ask classmate to help register. Pay attention to the traffic condition, obey the traffic rules and do not take the cars without licenses. Be away from the crowd, in case of the accidents. Do not drive cars after drinking alcohol.
三、防火安全
1.冬季是火灾多发期，在郊区游玩时，不要随意吸烟和乱扔烟头，燃放烟花爆竹应遵守当地的法律法规。
2.在宿舍严禁吸烟，禁止使用大功率用电器，离开宿舍做好断电，严防火灾。
Fire safety
Do not smoke in the dorm and do not throw your cigarette butt away randomly. If you want to play fireworks during the spring festival, please obey the local laws and regulations. Fireworks are restricted in certain time period and certain location. Turn off the power supply in case of the fire.
在校园内发现有可疑人员或异常情况，请立即报警！
